OBSERVE, PRAY, REACT!

There are all kinds of adventures we experience as we traverse this mortal life.  Some adventures are mental and some are physical.  The wisdom we gain with each one is what we take with us when we die.  I have been thinking that there really are only two things that we can take with us when we leave this mortal world – service and character.

I challenge you and myself to look deep inside and see what we have made of ourselves – our character and the service we have given to others.  Do we focus on only one or do we allow ourselves to be an instrument of love to all?

(Unknown Title)

Suppose that today were your last day on earth,
The last mile of the journey you’ve trod;
After all of your struggles, how much are you worth?
How much can you take home to God?

Don’t count as possessions your silver and gold,
Tomorrow you leave these behind,
And all that is yours to have and to hold
Is the service you’ve given mankind.

There is a story about a wealthy lady who sat wrapped in her furs in a theatre box and wept over the imaginary sufferings of the character on the stage, while her own coachman froze to death outside because he lacked the clothing to sustain his life.

Express your emotions with action!  OBSERVE, PRAY (for guidance), REACT!  Whether by your own kind acts or by combining with others, find ways to help bring about the ability for all mankind to be able to live peacefully with the freedom to choose to go after their dream, to lift others along their way, and to love each other as our Higher Power unconditionally loves us.

As you go on your adventures, remember it’s the unplanned little side trips that lead you to those who are in need of your service.  May you be blessed with the ability to SEE.

((((LOVE)))) and warm blue light be with you,

Lainee

  1. Amazing!

    Yes, we have to seek for the eternal life (Second Life). Believing in God, caring about others, loving them and standing by them in their needs are best ways to live happily in such tiring life.
